Register for the Semantic Interoperability in Data Spaces Workshop

The Semantic Interoperability in Data Spaces is back for its 3rd edition! Join us to dive deep into innovative approaches for achieving seamless semantic interoperability within and across data spaces. We’ll also explore practical methods tailored to specific domains.

Who should attend? Researchers, decision-makers, and practitioners involved in building and operating European data spaces, data markets, and web-based data management systems.

This workshop will discuss different approaches for semantic interoperability in and between data spaces (e.g. ontologies and controlled vocabularies, SHACL shapes, JSON schemas, etc.) and raise awareness for and discuss cross-domain (semantic) interoperability concepts (e.g. methodologies, vocabularies) as well as bridge the gap between such concepts, overall and particular in regards to standardisation.

The event takes place on October 1, 2024, between 09:00 – 17:00 CET, at Danubius Hotel Arena, Budapest, Hungary

It is organized by Semantic Web Company (SWC), International Data Spaces Association (IDSA), ERCIM, BDVA – Big Data Value Association, and partners across projects like champI4.0ns, GLACIATION EU, UNDERPIN project, and VELES.

Memorandum of Understanding Between 2 of our Consortium Partners

Great news from two of our Consortium Partners from Cyprus:

3ahealth, a leading provider of innovative digital healthcare solutions,

and

“Archangelos Michael” Nursing Home (AMEN), a prominent non-profit elder care facility in Cyprus specializing in care for the elderly and patients with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia

Officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 29, 2024.

This agreement marks the beginning of a formal collaboration between the two organizations, aimed at enhancing the quality of care and integrating cutting-edge digital health solutions to support elderly patients and those living with dementia.

The partnership is focused on implementing Electronic Health Records (EHR) and conducting academic and educational activities related to healthcare information and education. This will be achieved through a range of initiatives, including lectures, seminars, workshops, and community-oriented events like the Geri-Olympics.

Under the terms of the MOU, both organizations will collaborate in key areas such as research and development, working together to drive innovation and improve healthcare services.

The agreement includes the following initiatives:

  • 3ahealth will provide access to its scientific research to AMEN’s staff and collaborators, particularly in areas related to medical records and healthcare advancements.

  • Joint development and implementation of research programs, with a focus on securing local and international research funding.

This partnership is expected to enhance the competitive position of both organizations, enabling them to deliver cutting-edge services and improve the quality of healthcare for elderly populations.
