Between October 29-30, our Consortium Partners from Greece, HDHC, participated in the Health IT Conference 2024 in Athens, Greece. Dimitrios Katehakis, the HDHC Director and Cluster Manager, and George Dimitriou joined leading impactful discussions.

HDHC is actively working on a transformational framework to boost sustainable, data-driven health innovations in Southeast Europe as part of the VELES Excellence Hub. This March, VELES produced a pivotal report proposing strategic pathways for the region’s innovation ecosystem to evolve towards regional health data spaces.
Over the past two months, HDHC has been coordinating efforts within the European consortium IRHIS project, focused on building the first integrated EU-wide value chain for demonstrating advanced remote care services. Dimitrios Katehakis emphasized the power of creating synergies, showcasing best practices, and fostering incentives for research and development. George also highlighted the importance of raising awareness around the secondary use of health data and the significant business opportunities it presents.
